Calcium Gluconate is a sterile, preservative-free solution used as an aid in the treatment of parturient paresis (milk fever) in cattle. This condition, also known as hypocalcemia, is characterized by a sudden drop in blood calcium levels around the time of calving. Calcium gluconate has also been shown to improve cardiac function in horses.
